Had the throttle off today when doing carb stuff and noticed that the cable was frayed. įound a loose connection/damage on the wire feeding the rear brake light, but that`s an easy fix. Had the bike running sweet as a nut last night and today it would`nt go so carb, tank, and tap are all off for ANOTHER CLEAN. I`m going to stick a standard headlight on there for now until a standard original pattern headlight fairing comes up at the right price. Well after attempting to get the non standard lights going and actually getting the to work I realised that they were/are sucking to much juice from the battery, so they have to go. This fixed all my woes but sold it on soon after as I wanted a bigger bike Please include your contact details and a return address. Inspection and clean of carburettor £15.00 I would highly recommend that you send me the complete carb to enable me to make sure there are no other problems with it. The new diaphragm needs to be fitted to the throttle slide here in our workshop. I have had a batch of better quality diaphragms manufactured in the UK which cures the problems common to this carburettor. The original fit ones are very poor quality and do not work after a period of use as the rubber is too thick.
The "rubber part" is the vacuum diaphragm. The carburettor fitted to the 4 stroke Sachs XTC is the Mikuni BS26.
